SMI-easyMonitor
Installation Instructions

The software program SMI-easyMonitor allows to operate, parameterize or address 
drives with SMI interface. 


Requirements:
-------------
- Computer with operating system Windows Windows 7
- Interface USB or RS232
- SMI-Interface for USB or RS232

SMI interfaces are available for USB or RS232. Manufacturers for drives and
interfaces are listed on our website, www.smi-group.com under the category products.


Installation:
-------------
For the installation of the program SMI-easyMonitor you start the file setup.msi.
Install the .NET Framework Version 3.5. 

The program is ready for operation after choosing the COM interface under menue 
item "Options".


Auxiliary Files:
---------------- 
Store the manufacturer file and possible parameter files in the program 
directory and \CSV .

The file names are:
Manufacturer file: Hersteller.csv 
Parameter files: Parameter_X.csv, in which X means the manufacturer number 
according list in the manufacturer file.  
Parameter files contain manufacturer specific parameters and are to optain from
individual drive manufacturers. Contacts to drive manufacturers are listed
on website www.smi-group.com, category smi-group.
